Guitar paint job help!!!?

my friend painted his guitar with just tape and spray paint and it came out pretty sick can any one tell me how to custom paint my guitar with tape and spray paint and tell me what to do!!!! he made his guitar kinda like this one

I wouldn't take the neck off, you will have a heck of a time with it.





Take off the strings, tone knobs, pickups, and pickguard. You can paint the pickguard any color you want once it is off. Now just paint whatever base color you want, (like the yellow in your picture) and let it dry. Once that is dry, then tape whatever design you want on the guitar, and paint it again with a different color. Once that is dry, peel off the tape, and you will have your design in the base color.





If you leave the neck on, make sure you tape over it about 6 or 7 frets up, to avoid painting the neck.Guitar paint job help!!!?
Take off all the pickups, the neck, bridge, electronics/knobs etc.


Then start spraying away. :D
