Well i have been looking at some cars for sale and i have seen a few that have had paint jobs done on them. Some of them say that the paint needs to be refreshed. My question is if i were to buy a car and have it painted professionally how long would the paint job last?How long do car paint jobs last?
Depends on many things.
If done poorly with bad materials and if you didnt take care of the car, then it might last as little as a year.
If its prepped and painted properly and you take care of it, then it could out last the rest of the car.How long do car paint jobs last?

Paint jobs usually last 5-10 years depending on how you take care of the vehicle and how much you tailgate. Modern paints aren't going to fade due to the fact that most clearcoats have a protectant for UV rays. Don't know if it actually works.
If you take care of and it does not get damaged form hail/accidents/vandalism etc... The paint job will outlast you.
If they were just painted chances are they were painted at a really cheap place just so they would sell faster.
