Im am looking for a good paint job at a cheap price can anyone help me the paint on my car is beginning to peal. I want to now like around how much it would cost. I have a 2000 ford mustang its black i want it the same colorMy car needs a paint job?
If the paint is peeling, the surface must be sanded and prepared or the new paint will not last. Black shows every imperfection, ding dent and scratch, so the surface must be perfect (with all body repairs done, before the car is painted.
This is not going to be cheap. You could pay a few hundred dollars for a ';scuff and shoot'; type job, but that is not going to last. You should expect to pay in the $1500- $3500 range, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done
Take the car to a quality body shop and have then give you an estimate. My car needs a paint job?
It's not typical for paint to peel on a Ford. No matter how old it is.
There are several factors you have to consider before deciding to paint your vehicle, which will determine cost.
1- Is there any rust in the area that you are requesting to be repaint?
2- What type of area is being repainted?
3- Can it be color matched? A lot of older cars have to be color matched, or a good body tech that can blend the colors. Because colors fade over time and your vehicle is 9 years old. It all plays a factor.
Then you can weigh in whether or not its worth repainting. I highly recommend you use a professional, that may charge a couple extra bucks to do it.
A spot on my bumper I had redone on a Gold 98 Cavalier cost me $60.00. But it depends on where you are, and the cost of getting the supplies to do the work.
sometiems you can get the maaco paint serrvice for $200 other than that it can be really expensive to get your car painted see if there are local car painters that do it out of their garage at home for some extra $$$$ everywhere i have lived in the us i found a few people willing just make sure they know the process adn have references or at least a portfolio of cars they painted if you don t know anyone that could help you finds one of these people check your cities craigslist soem will advertise in there
You get what you pay for, no way around that. Most of what you pay is for the prep-work. I'd say around 2k for a decent paint job.
If you go to MAACO or some bullshit, it will start peeling again in the near future.
If the paint is peeling the paint will all have to be stripped off the car to bare metal and then repainted, your looking at 4 to 5 grand easy for a factory looking job.
A good (OEM quality) paint job is going to run around $2000-.
A cheap paint job is a few hundred.
insurance wont cover it????
try macco or look around on craigslist thats what i did with my truck and its a high dollar paint job i only paid 450 and its a 2000 dollar paint job if not more
I highly recommend http://www.maaco.com having had 3 cars painted there and all the cars lasted a long time. However, each Maaco shop is ';franchised'; so each has a different owner.
