Advice on a new paint job.?

99 Jeep Cherokee,

I want a fresh paint job on it, it's black and I want it repainted as black.

Maaco advertises that they will do it for $300.

Anyone ever get this, low quality? Any problems?

It seems like $300 will get me a crappy job...

What should I do?Advice on a new paint job.?
The job is in the prep work. If it's not wrecked, and you're painting it the same color, you should be happy with a maaco job. Ask about their guarantee.Advice on a new paint job.?
just remeber man....you get what you pay for..and your car or truck needs the taken care of..cheap job will show up in about a year ...
for 300 bux they dont mask it they put some solvent or something that cleans up easy my advice rent a air comp. and paint gun and DIY its not that hard just watch for runs and keep gun about an inch away from car .In commercials they show ppl they mask but i got told they didnt by trusted source.
well i do custom paint jobs but id do it 4 $200 cuz its only 1 color and black is pretty cheap!!
Cool beans I own a Cherokee as well.If your selling you jeep then by all means get the maaco cheapy cuz you won't get more than a year if that out of that paint job, my bud did there 250.00 special on his honda and it sucked after no time at all, if your keeping this Cherokee for yourself , break down and spend a little more for a real paint job, that includes stripping and repainting and coating and not just a sprayover which is what maaco is really doing.
I had a car painted by Maaco you get what you pay for. I went back after about 6 to 8 weeks because the paint started to fade they gave me some bull about waxing the car. I went to some other shop to ask what they taught, they said its the cheap paint they use. So after waxing the car it was ok for a short while, I waxed it again and sold it, that's all Maaco is good for, to make your car look good so you can sell it and let the next person worry about it.
BASICALLY ALL MAACO DOES IS DULL THE SHINE OFF YOUR OLD PAINT AND JUST RESPRAY RIGHT OVER THE OLD PAINT. IF YOU WANT ALL NEW YOU WILL HAVE TO PREP IT ALL YOURSELF FIRST.
