How much should I pay for this job? Should I buy paint and materials or let the contractors buy it.
Help please!!!!!How much should I pay for a interior painting job?
Two yrs. ago we hired painters to do a 3300 sq.ft. home. We had walls, ceilings, woodwork, moldings and doors painted. We were quoted on the size of the job and the amount of paint needed. Total was just under $10,000. It took two painters 11 days to complete. How much should I pay for a interior painting job?
First of all you have to judge condition of walls, ceiling, window and door trims. are you planning to change color of your rooms or keeping existing color? If you change it, you probably going to need at least one coat of primer sealer. Paint quality is another issue, I would advice you to go and shop for paint quality and ask contractors of what they will be doing. Price certainly depends on the amount of work and time they spend to perform a quality job.
its like 2500 to 3500 maybe more! why dont u do it urself and save load of money. its fun!
hmmmmm maybe about 1000 dollars...i dont no im only 12!
Just had my living room, ceiling (in living room) and hallway painted. The living room is about 12 x 10 with an average hallway. I bought the paint and I was charged by the hour. He charged me $30.00 an hour and was done within 6 hours. Which I thought was great. Although if they are going to charge by the hour, you might want to be close at hand to make sure they work.
Obviously, if you buy the paint yourself, you should save money. Have your contractors give you a quote with paint provided by them and a quote with paint provided by you. You should already know the cost of paint, at this point.
I just had about 600 squares painted including ceilings, trim, and walls (one coat), basically a kitchen with attached dining area, a living room and a hallway, and with paint included it cost me $500. I live in the Northeast.
Have fun
