Rustoleum paint job?

Has any one out there tryed to paint there car with rustoleum and a roller. If you have how long did it take to harden it has been a week and still not quite scratch resistentRustoleum paint job?
My father painted a car by air-spraying rustoleum. It is not as scratch resistant as a factory-original cured paint job.

Like most paint, rustoleum works best when applied as at least two thin coats over one or two thin coats of primer.

If the paint went on thick, it may take much longer to dry, and will depend on the temperature and humidity.Rustoleum paint job?
This is one of the most exciting projects going on right now with ';shade tree'; mechanics. Hot Rod Magazine recently did an article on this (July issue.) It's labor intensive but it;s also a money saver. Go to this site to start: http://rollyourcar.com/default鈥?/a>

First you need to sand the surface to be painted so the new paint has something to grip.A roller puts paint on thicker than should be put on metal, should be two or three light coats. Also some rustoleum paints are met to be base coat, will never be as hard as finish coat.
