I have heard a lot of talk about this $50 - $80 paint job. A lot of people have done this already.?

Essentially I don't know much about auto body but if you google $50.00 paint job a lot of people have done this already and the results turn out great. They use a combination of rustoluem and wet sanding between coats. When they are finished it looks great. Does anybody know anything about the cons of this. One person owned his car for 6 years now and it hasen't chiped!!!!I have heard a lot of talk about this $50 - $80 paint job. A lot of people have done this already.?

the wet sanding between coats is the secret , its your car , have at it , but if the children throw rocks at it you may want to re-do it.
WELL, its going to be cheep, cheep is bad, but its cheep.

I had a truck with a twenty dollar paint job. Never chipped or faded either. I paid $15.99 for the can of yellow enamel and $2.99 for the brush. The remaining change was for a soda. It took me two hours and from a hundred feet away looked great.
