New paint job and car wash?

got a new bumper and hood replaced on my car, they had to paint the both of them to match my car color. how long do i have to wait to take it to an auto car wash?New paint job and car wash?
What type of paint did they use?

What's the temperature and humidity like where you live?

Did they clear coat it?

Did they put it through the curing booth?

How long ago did they paint it?

I agree. Ask the people that painted it.......New paint job and car wash?
I've been told three weeks for a hand-wash, much longer for an automatic wash. Two months before you wax, and only use carnuba-based wax, of course. Definitely plan to wax it, though, as that will protect your paint job you just paid for.

BTW, it's better to not do automatic washes at all, really. They can and will rub fine particles of dirt/debris from several thousand other cars onto your paint with their cloth strips and brushes. Also, take a look at the people drying and wiping down you car after it rolls out of the car wash...Seriously, their all either people in their mid teens or older people who have made wiping cars down their absolute career in life. Think about whether you really want these people touching your car with rags that they use and reuse over and over again, and occasionally drop on the ground where it picks up tiny particles of asphalt. You want these kids wiping your car with what is essentially a dirty cloth with bits of rock in it? Not me. Wash your car yourself, and you will always get better results (and it's much cheaper to do it yourself, too).

If you want something done right...
Your best bet, would be to ask the place, that did the painting job. All paint types are different. Including manafactures. Ask the place, who did the painting, for a sure answer.
I'd give it bout a week, depending on the temperature outside. The paint has to cure. the lower the temp outside the longer you should wait.
Rule of thumb is a month.
call and ask the person that painted it
